This is a community bank and it has all the environment and atmosphere of one. Nice people and if you need a home contractor loan, they have it. If you want to open a small business account.. no fees and no limit.

Do not use Timberland Bank for a home loan. They screwed things up for the buyers of our home. I learned that they do not have their own in-house underwriting, used an appraiser that made too many mistakes and won't consider an amended appraisal to correct his mistake even though the appraiser agreed to correct it, and waited until days before closing to decide not to fund the loan; causing our buyers to have to start over with another institution that does their own in-house underwriting and will take an amended/corrected appraisal.

Website was down and could not make a transfer, this affected me because I needed to get money into the account so this would not be hit with an NSF fee.   Got a screen shot of the of the error, and explained my problem.  They still would not refund any NFS's that happened as a result of website being down.  I will be closing all of my account with Timberland Bank ASAP.

This bank is such a joke. Not only are the tellers in Puyallup RUDE but l'm not sure why the 20 questions when I take a check that I wrote and want to deposit it into my boyfriend's account. It's MY money!! I should be able to deposit it wherever I want without hassle.
Not only that but they have a $3 overdraft protection if you sign up for it...which only charges you $3 and pulls money from your savings to cover any overdrafts. HOWEVER what they didn't tell us was that if you go below $5 in your savings at any time, that negates the overdraft protection and disables your savings account from covering the drafts even if you have money in it at the time. With that said, my boyfriend got charged thousands in overdraft fees having had plenty of money in his savings. Timberland also has messed up his bank account multiple times by not showing transfers right away, instead taking 3-4 days to show up in his account giving him the false idea that he had money in his account that was no longer there. Thanks Timberland...we'll be changing banks TOMORROW!

We been here for several years. They haven't been "spectacular" by any means. But they haven't motivated me to leave either.
